Edible Oil Refinery Plant

About The Plant

Refining can be conducted in either batch or continuous operations, and for certain oils, physical refining is an option instead of chemical refining. In the oil refining process, a measured quantity of oil undergoes a series of steps, including neutralizing, bleaching, dewaxing, and deodorizing. Crude oil contains impurities like gums, colored substances, and unfiltered proteinous matter from the seed, which need to be removed through the refining process.

NEUTRALIZING/DEGUMMING

Refining fats and oils involves a series of steps, including Water Degumming, Gum Conditioning, Alkali refining, and Water wash. The presence of gums and Free Fatty Acids (FFA) in fats and oils necessitates their removal through the Degumming and Refining process to produce high-quality refined oil.

BLEACHING

The oil obtained from earlier stages carries undesirable traces of soap, iron, and a few parts per million (ppm) of Phospholipids and Carotenes. To eliminate these impurities, a Bleaching Operation is necessary. Ninja'S bleaching system incorporates a Steam Agitated Bleacher, featuring an acid treatment, a distinct dosing device for bleaching earth with a mechanical mixer, main bleaching vessels, PLF, and Bag Filters to eliminate the spent earth.

DEODORIZATION/PHYSICAL REFINING

The Deodorization process is employed to eliminate undesirable odors through Steam Distillation. Odoriferous compounds are stripped off by injecting live steam into heated oil under high vacuum conditions. Ninja Engitech Solutions has strategically designed a combination of a tower and a fatty acid scrubber to ensure minimal carryover of fatty acids into the vacuum system. This design helps effectively remove odors from the oil.

DEWAXING/WINTERIZATION

Ninja Engitech Solutions has developed an innovative dynamic coil-designed Crystallizer, ensuring 100% uniform cooling, particularly effective for Rice Bran Oil, Sunflower Oil, and Palm Oil. This technology is currently operational and in use with our esteemed clients.
